Overview:
After a bad junior high experience, where her social anxiety was worsened by bullying, Uka Ishimori decided to change herself and her life. Her first step was to apply to Hachimitsu High School. Its attractions include a more relaxed school atmosphere and the gruff but handsome Kai Miura.
Our Take:
If you’ve ever watched Ao Haru Ride or Maid-Sama and enjoyed them, then I think you will like this series. It looks so similar to Ao Haru Ride that I went to see if the same author wrote the manga. Although a different author wrote it, the character designs look the same, and the vibes are similar. I love shows like that, and I’m worried about one thing for this show from a story perspective.
Ishimori is your typical shy girl but she gets bullied for it and Miura is your regular bad boy. My main concern is that it’s clear that they’re going to fall in love with each other but I’m hoping it’s not a toxic relationship. Miura kind of yells at Ishimori but I think he’s trying to help her break out of her shell and it’s only the first episode. Other than that I’m really excited to see where this show goes because it’s cute and I love seeing characters grow.
