Review: American Dad “Piece by Piece”
Overview
After a nearly fatal interaction with one of Roger’s personas, Steve and Stan work together to uncover the persona’s mysterious past; Jeff, Hayley and Francine explore new hobbies.
Our Take
Back-to-back weeks in dealing with multiple Roger personas at once though I actually think this week’s episode was far more cogent teetering on the level of heartfelt. And I’m for any reason to get a Michael Imperioli guest spot, and not just any guest spot, a silly one. Whenever I watch American Dad though and we get into these episodes that focus a lot on Roger’s psyche, I do wonder if these are leading to something. Like will we see Roger be cured of what is increasingly obvious a manic depressive or does he go full Ted Kaczynski?
It’s a fun arc to keep an eye on and when done correctly makes for a fun episode of American Dad. We also get bits about Hayley and Francine finding a new hobby but it’s Jeff’s hobby as a birdwatcher that really tickles. Anytime you can get an Angry Jeff it usually makes for hilarity and that was no different this time as he attempts to act as a landlord to all of the creatures who have overstayed their welcome.
Overall, a solid week of American Dad as we near the halfway point of the season and next week we get the Christmas episode so it will be fun to see how the month plays out AND that’s with no breaks in the season which I am totally here for.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
