Overview:
A group of messengers from Fortna arrives, and Az appears to be among them. Nina wrestles with her feelings for Az and her growing affection for Sett.
Our Take:
We’ve seen this story before in some ways, but I’m hoping we get some twists that make it a little more fascinating. Sett is starting to get possessive of Nina and I’ve seen enough different iterations of the story of Helen of Troy to know how this might end. Azure hasn’t said much and is pretending to be a mercenary traveling with the messengers. If I had to guess I would imagine he is here to steal back Nina but anything is possible I suppose.
What I was interested in was the reason for Azure becoming the king of Fortna over his “little brother”. We still don’t have a lot of clarification on that but we got to see a conversation between him and the king where he told Azure that he would be the king for a year and then he would die. What does that even mean? Is Azure going to be killed? Is this some sort of trial run to see if Azure can enact the kind of changes he claims he can make? It seems like there’s a lot more going on than what we had addressed in this episode which sets the stage for some juicy drama coming up soon.
