Overview (Spoilers Below):
Clay and Belle observe a party exploring the seventh floor. When Clay hears that they’re fun to fight and grows quite interested, just what will Belle propose?
Our Take:
Now that we have learned the fundamentals of the dungeon’s operations, it’s time to witness them in action again. While it is refreshing to see some of the behind-the-scenes moments of this particular dungeon, Dungeon People didn’t forget that it’s also a dungeon-crawler series. So, there’s no doubt we’re going to get more dungeon action amid its slice-of-life workplace. This week’s episode showcases this by having Clay and Beilleheila test their skills on another group of adventurers known as the Ice Wolf’s Fang, who dare to explore their dungeon. But they’re not just any other team of adventurers. They’re responsible for harassing Clay while attempting to recruit her, meaning there’s no better time for her to exact revenge on them than today.
Their best solution in combating this team of adventurers is Kraitze, a reaper-like spirit in charge of occupying the seventh floor. Using the body of one of Kraitze’s skeletons, Clay assists the monsters in overpowering the Ice Wolf’s Fang. However, it also allowed Clay to experience a perspective of having to fight alongside the dungeon’s inhabitants instead of killing them. While hesitant at first, Clay managed to grow comfortable around her new monstrous yet friendly allies, including Kraitze, who was suitably voiced by Joe Daniels in the English dub. The episode also widens the door of Clay’s friendship with Belle, as the latter prefers to be called by her nickname since her full name is difficult to pronounce. It makes sense since I couldn’t pronounce Belle’s full name correctly myself. Amid its enjoyable but standard plot involving Clay battling her own kind, that moment further adds to the show’s charm and adorable chemistry between Clay and Belle, serving as the season’s backbone regarding its entertainment value.
