Our Take:
The beginning of this episode was awesome, I love time skips, I know some people don’t but they’re a lot of fun for me. We got to see the kids after they’ve grown up and Ul has just left his cocoon phase. Seeing the kids we’ve come to love all grown up and doing things with their lives was heartwarming. Not only that but Raphael eventually gets a crush on Lucia because we saw them get married and have a child. A character named Sophie was also introduced and they were a survivor of a village attack.
But it wasn’t meant to be as we were shown that it was a dream that Dali was having. It felt like a cop-out and put a bad taste in my mouth for this show. This show was a confusing story to keep up with anyway but that ending was disappointing, to say the least. There were quite a few crumbs left that could lead to a second season but I don’t imagine this gets one which is a little bit disappointing. Remember that friend Sophie I mentioned? Well, they were introduced as a baby who is being raised by Pendulum members. That could lead to an awesome second season if we ever got one but right now that doesn’t look likely.
