And, say it with me now, this episode is once again about characters who I have absolutely no previous knowledge of because I have not seen the original series this comedic spin-off is based on, and these episodes are all just ten minutes long (ten minutes EXACTLY which is even weirder) so that leaves me with even less to talk about. Wow, I can’t believe you were all talking along with me that entire time! Anywho, this week we have those little bunny demons who love candy making their own channel for people to buy merch of them, which Hanako is convinced to not buy from while his friend is not so fortunate. So I guess this is a commentary on how people are sometimes scammed into frivolous spending? Or a swipe at how exploitative capitalism is in general? Either way, nothing is learned or accomplished, just like every other episode of this show has been so far, and how I assume the final episode will be next week. The other segment or skit or whatever involves the main characters running a cafe for a little bit. Putting aside the fact that I thought Hanako was bound to the school for some reason (if I’m wrong, then boy do I have an explanation for YOU), this is actually kind of a funny premise on paper. Characters suddenly having to run a business can make for a lot of fun comedy, as seen in the latest episode of The Amazing Digital Circus where that happened. So, let’s lock in and get ready for next week, when this all finally wraps up, likely in a similarly episodic manner like the other seven shorts have been.
