Slated to stream sometime in Summer 2025, Netflix has announced they have acquired the rights to stream The Summer Hikaru Died for everywhere with the exception of the Japan. It will be produced by CygamesPictures and directed by Ryōhei Takeshita, with the series’ scripts also handled by Takeshita and chief animation directed by Yuichi Takahashi, who is also handling character designs.
