I suspect it would be difficult to talk about Alzheimer’s to a TMNT: Mutant Mayhem aimed crowd and suspect this one may be geared to a slightly older audience mainly because the disease can be terrifying and cause bouts of hysteria. Nevertheless, Seth Rogen is bringing a feature-length adaptation of Tangles: A Story About Alzheimer’s, My Mother and Me to somewhere hopefully sooner, rather than later, because this one sounds promising.

Monarch Media, Point Grey Pictures, Lylas Pictures & Giant Ant are all on board as producers in the graphic memoir by Sarah Leavitt who reveals how Alzheimer’s disease transformed her mother Midge. Seth Rogen knows all about this as he’s been supporting efforts to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s especially through his Hilarity for Charity specials.

The cast is stacked as well with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Abbi Jacobson, Bryan Cranston, Samira Wiley, Beanie Feldstein, Seth Rogen, Wanda Sykes, Bowen Yang, Pamela Adlon and Sarah Silverman all part of the project .
