Overview Lawrence’s friend Abel comes to visit and says he plans to work with them for a little while. Lawrence’s frank manner with his friend is new to Cecilia. When trouble befalls Lawrence, Cecilia panics, but Abel stays calm. The truth is, he has a secret.Our Take This time around, Abel is introduced and he brings out a different side of Lawrence. I find it quite amusing how they mix the character chemistry among the main cast. As a character, Abel is quite a funny guy yet also really cares for Lawrence like a good friend should, Part of me feels that he knew she has an interest in him but Cecelia isn’t budgeing with being direct as far as I can tell… Also, Cecilia actually has a reason to be so overprotective of Lawren. Still really sweet though. I wonder if Lawren’s gonna realize her feelings anytime soon or his own for that matter. And the fact he attracts angels and demons is fitting. And kinda shows how he and Cecilia have potentially the perfect partnership as they both can cover the other’s weaknesses.Overall, this episode gave us some backstory about Lawrence. The mention of faeries confirms further to me that this somewhat takes place in Ireland, or at least fictionalized version of it anyway. As for Abel, his charisma is a lot different from Lawrence’s. Lawrence still hasn’t noticed that Cecilia is actually in love with him but he’s a slow guy so maybe he’ll notice it eventually. I hope so…
