English Dub Review: Rent-a-Girlfriend “Final Scene and Girlfriend”

Overview:

Kazuya and Chizuru end up at a ski resort, finding themselves having to shoot the final scene for the movie all on their own. Chizuru decides she has something to say to Kazuya.

Our Take:

I don’t even know where to start, there is just so much that frustrates me about this show that a simple conversation would fix. Chizuru gave Kazuya an easy way out, they were talking about him finding a “real” girlfriend and she mentioned Ruka and Mami. This would have been the perfect spot for him to be like “Well, I’m actually in love with someone…” Now he would probably chicken out beyond that but it was still an option! Not only that but Ruka can’t pick up the hint that Kazuya is in love with Chizuru. Everyone and their dog can tell but not her? She’s one of the closest to the two how is she so blind?

A third season is too much for this series but at this point, it seems like they are going to adapt it to the end. Who knows how long that will be I’m pretty sure it’s still going on. Do you know how many manga have come and gone in the time that this series started? This is the rom-com king of overstaying it’s welcome.
