English Dub Review: Masamune Kun’s Revenge R “Saint Valentine Is Watching”
Overview:
Valentine’s Day is on the horizon and Yoshino offers to help Aki make something for Masamune. Afterward, Aki and Masamune go out on a date.
Our Take:
I was fully prepared to come into this review talking about how cute this episode was. Don’t get me wrong it still was but that last five minutes was absolutely brutal. Aki had, in fact, seen Masamune’s revenge plan but when you love someone you love them. It’s not always as simple or as cut and dry as you would like. The only thing that bummed me out in this episode and didn’t make a ton of sense was when Fujinomiya said that Masamune isn’t in love with Aki.
The reason I don’t agree with that is that at the beginning of the episode, we got to hear Masamune’s thoughts when Aki made him cookies for Valentine’s Day. He was thinking about how cute she is and a multitude of other things that suggest he has very real feelings for her. The only thing that gave me pause about that was when Fujinomiya mentioned his hives and he started acting weird. It seemed like his hives were more or less under control but perhaps we aren’t privy to all the info.
I’d say what’s so fascinating about this series is the fact that we are in a state of confusion. On one hand, it’s annoying because I don’t want to be this confused watching a show. But I don’t know if you remember when you were a teenager and dealing with feelings of love but confusing is probably the best way I would describe it.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
