Overview:
Despite different motivations, Aqua, Ruby and Kana’s key to success in the entertainment industry is the same; to achieve their goals, they need to play the game.
Our Take:
Taking the name of your dead mother’s former idol group is one way to get notoriety. If it was anyone else I would think that was the only reason it was done but since it was Ruby I truly believe she just wants to honor her mother. Kana decides to join the idol group as well even though it could ruin her acting career, I guess her crush on Aqua is that strong.
She might have her work cut out for her trying to gain his affections though because he is working on a reality dating show. We all know that (usually) the love found on these shows is fake. Perhaps he might find someone while he’s there, however?
One thing that is really interesting about this series is that it feels like the author really did their research. We get a lot of behind-the-scenes information on film-making and all sorts of other forms of entertainment. If you’re a fan of idol culture or even just celebrities this series might just have some interesting tidbits for you.
