Created by Oneyplays and directed by Adam Paloian and Chris “Oney” O’Neill, Tenacious D has launched a new animated music video for the track “Video Games” which is the first new song the greatest band of all-time has released in five years. The 3D CG animated video is apropo given that Jack Black recently portrayed Bowser in the billion dollar animated film The Super Mario Bros. Movie which is in theaters now and is also inspired by a video game only to be adapted into a 3D CG film.
Whether or not this track is in anticipation of a brand-new LP is anyone’s guess at this juncture as the band has been teasing a new record for eons now, however, the band IS on tour right now and you can get tour dates here.
