English Dub Review: My Home Hero ‘”Cutting the Cake”‘

Overview:

With Kasen’s help, Tetsuo devises a way to dispose of the body. In the meantime, a group of men is looking for Nobuto. Tetsuo and Kasen give them false information to divert their attention.

Our Take:

This could be a dark horse for the anime of the season. I haven’t gotten a chance to watch too many of the new shows this season but this one is pretty fun and unique. You got a family man protagonist, no OP power set, just a dude and his brain. It will be really interesting to see how this one goes as the weeks’ progress. It gives me some anime Breaking Bad vibes and I love it, only difference is the wife seems a bit more supportive in this one.

I wonder how long they can keep up this charade with the Yakuza but with the way this episode ended, I don’t know if they’ll have to. It seems like Tetsuo and his wife Kasen are both being abducted by the bad guys. This was a bit interesting because I thought they did a good enough job of tricking them but I guess not. I’m really interested to see if Reika is going to find out about her boyfriend’s death. She has to right?
