English Dub Review: Handyman Saitou in Another World “Tracker of the Demon World”

OverviewAs Morlock and Saitou talk about Raelza, the demon dog attacks! Raelza and Lafanpan arrive to find their friends at a clear disadvantage. Then, the demon dog’s master, a twin-headed demon with strength on par with a demon king, appears before them…Our Take Continuing off from the last episode’s cliffhanger, Morlock entrusts his (technically not) daughter to Saitou, it’s the only logical way to do so, even if the Handyman himself doesn’t feel worthy of the woman warrior. Later on, they encounter some tough monsters and Raezla isn’t in the best of mood for the challenge. The magical beast hunter Liliza clearly states the way to hunt a hellhound, though obviously, Raelza didn’t heed that clause with Morlock’s magic imbued in the wolf. Sparing the pup to save what can be spared towards the warrior herself, the mysterious demon coming to take the hunting dog’s life with it from its vengeance, it’s a battle to save lives, with Lafanpan’s gold coins finally having an actual payoff later on knowing the potential consequences of death. And then there’s monsters from the Demon Realm putting everyone’s very lives on the line, and the titular Saitou finding himself useless in battle, he’s totally not now…while only as a sacrifice, but not without his planning to have the hunting dog next to Morlock…Overall, this episode had no business being animated this well. From the comedic moments to the suspense and danger to even the confessions, and emotional moments that were properly delivered in spades as it built up so many payoffs to the previous episode’s setups. Especially in the romance department which thankfully doesn’t feel like it’s needlessly dragging longer than an entire season of Black Clover. I know Morlock is capable of being powerful, but that ending was very unexpected. But with one episode left, I can’t wait to see how this season ends!
