OverviewShikimori and Izumi reunite for an all-day date. Shikimori has only one thing in mind: the park commercial, in which a couple kisses. But in such a place, Izumi’s bad luck might strike repeatedly…Our TakeSo we finish off this anime with a cute date between our main couple. Predictably some things didn’t go as planned, which is expected when Izumi is involved. While it was unfortunate that his original seat was taken that was one hell of an upgrade that the restaurant provided though. Despite some missteps, the escort scene was cute. This time though full marks to Izumi for being able to speak his heart to Shikimori. The darkness especially served to enhance that scene. While attempting to maintain its romance, the proceedings also served to give Izumi a little more development as a character. One should never hesitate in showing initiative is necessary for any romantic relationship after all.
This episode left a good taste in my mouth after enduring how bad the previous episode was. I liked how things ended. I wish we saw more of this sooner though. At its core, the show in small ways broke the cliché Anime tropes by already introducing the two leads as a couple as opposed to dragging things like most Shonen Anime is egregiously guilty of doing until they tie up loose ends plot-wise out of closure. But here the leads are already a couple which is something rarely done unless you count Tonikawa. In terms of chemistry, Izumi and Shikimori are a decent couple when you look past its contrivance.
