On the YouTube channel Digital Deathcage, a game review focuses on Moon Master 9: Beware the Gorgotron. Unfortunately, it is a piece of shit. The Mooninites throw the video game in disarray with their own nefarious intentions. Finally, after using their powerful quad laser, the entire game is completely useless.
“Frat Aliens: Hell Week”
The frat aliens Skeeter and DP are back on Earth. This time they are taking their pledges on a trip to buy alcohol while duct-taped together in one massive pile. Their fake IDs are almost enough to get them past the cashier. That is until the cops arrive.
Our Take:
If you have not been paying attention recently, Aqua Teen Hunger Force has made their return after a seven-year hiatus. The comeback is in the form of a new ten-episode collection of shorts titled Aquadonk Side Pieces. With the latest release of “Frat Aliens: Hell Week”, there are now five three-minute episodes released of the short series, with the remainder to be released subsequently by day.
Thus far in the Aquadonk Side Pieces series, we have seen the return of many beloved and forgotten characters from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force animated series that lasted for eleven seasons. Handbanana, The Broodwhich, and even MC P Pants have all had their returns on the streaming shorts. But, these next two episodes include one highly anticipated return and one unexpected comeback.
“Moon Master 9: Beware the Gorgotron” features the return of Ignignokt and Err in a brand new video game review. The Mooninites are one of Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s greatest nemesis’s, often returning to harass Meatwad. However, this time, they are taking on YouTube sensation Digital Deathcage and his monotone virtual video game analysis. Their arrival in these shorts could have been anticipated after nineteen unique episode appearances and showing up in the feature-length Aqua Teen Hunger Force feature film.
On the other hand, nobody could have guessed the return of the Frat Aliens. Since their appearance in the second season of the animated series, nothing has been heard from the Frat Aliens since. In fact, one of the main aliens, DP, dies within the second-season episode. And it should be stated that nothing about these Aquadonk Side Pieces shorts is canonical, nor do they have to follow a specific timeline.
These new episodes hold their own in this new collection adding to the variety and complexity of Aquadonk Side Pieces. As we reach the halfway point of the release of these shorts, the whole thing is shaping up to be a great recap of everything that was brilliant about Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Hopefully, this is all leading up to an announcement of the sequel film that we have been waiting for for some years now. Although just having these characters back is a treat unto itself, even for a short time.
