English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “Moroha and Family, Together Again”

Overview:

Moroha is finally reunited with her parents. Inuyasha sees a way out of the Black Pearl. Kirinmaru’s attack leaves Sesshomaru gravely injured.

Our Take:

What I hope it keeps up is the characters from the past and present interacting. Plus, seeing Moroha with her parents was really sweet and I am always down for more of that. As I’ve said, Moroha is my favorite so getting to see her get some more screentime and especially with Inuyasha and Kagome was amazing. It looks like there will be more of that to come for a while.

What I don’t need more of is the random weird stuff that they keep injecting for shock value. Somehow, Towa’s homeroom teacher is Kirinmaru’s severed arm? Like how is that possible and how does that make sense? I know anime follows different logic but come on that’s a bit much.

We got to see how Kagome and Inuyasha saw Moroha grow up. It was through this pool of faces and it was kind of sweet to see that Jaken gave them those glimpses. I like where this arc has gone and where it seems to be going. Fun family outing after this, please?
