OverviewMatthias and his party head for the city of Folkia, only to find it controlled by demons! In order to stop the demonic plot to use humans to create powerful destructive weapons, the team leaps into coordinated action! Our Take Descending into Folkia City, there’re no fewer demons lurking at every corner, and Matthias knows the secret to infiltrating enemy territory, as there’s practically no corner that they cannot cover if not for his help. I would’ve wished that Iris would draw on the demon acting as the sewer security lookout. The entire city’s humans are cast on a mind manipulation spell. But predictably, Matty is prepared for such instances like this. And compared to the last episode, Giluas easily stole the show against the head Demi-demon. I loved the teamwork aspect of them taking down the demons, and how they end up teaming with Giluas without ever accounting for him being there. And thanks to some of Matty’s tips he was able to use incantation spells to enhance his combat prowess in such a short amount of time.Overall, this was a fun episode. The pacing wasn’t terrible and there were some cute moments between Lurie and Matty. But it also had me rooting for Giluas as a character. He may have come along uninvited but damn his fight was easily one of the highlights this episode had to offer next to Iris being the wholesome dragon lady we know her to be. With two episodes left, I’m curious how they could possibly end this season.
