Overview (Spoilers Below): The periodic shift of the seating chart is approaching, threatening to put Aharen and Raido’s friendship to the test.
Our Take: This week’s episode sees Raido and Aharen facing their most significant threat to their friendship: switching seats. But, before that, we see the two getting a case of a bad hair day, mainly Aharen with bed head. This causes Raido to believe that she could be a metalhead, but in reality, she’s having difficulty seeing the chalkboard due to a tall student sitting in front of her. They then seek the help of Oshiro, whose family owns a hair salon. The hair dilemma and the segment involving Oshiro giving Aharen a complete spa treatment were great attempts to start this adorable episode. Following Oshiro’s debut in last week’s episode, this one made her a bit more tolerable than before. She doesn’t sound as annoying as before, but she still maintains her anxious personality, leading to some more awkwardness and hilarity. While the narrative focuses on Raido’s concern over a seat change, the episode retains a formula of Raido attempting to help Aharen with her problems, often leading to embarrassing outcomes. The previous two episodes were charmingly entertaining because of the formula, and I can admit that this one is no different. Raido’s awkward methods and internal beliefs still help provide some decent humor in the show, which may or may not grow tiring later on, depending on how the future episodes turn out. As for the main plot, “We’re Changing Seats, Huh” is another charming episode that sees Raido doing something nice for Aharen before they switch seats. This includes helping her win at baseball and cooking for her. However, it turns out that his worries are for nothing, as they are reassigned to their original seats beside each other at the end. At least I got a good laugh from the ending and many different humorous outcomes that appeared in this appealing episode.
