Comedy Central’s “South ParQ Vaccination Special” Is #1 In The Ratings ; Episode Pisses Off QANON
Comedy Central’s South ParQ Vaccination Special was the #1 Cable Telecast of the year with nearly 3.5 total viewers across the night which makes it the 2nd highest rated South Park episode since 2017(behind only the “Pandemic Special“) proving yet again that the Matt Stone/Trey Parker joint is at the top of it’s game even after all these years.
The episode featured everything. From shitting on cancel culture to Qanon conspirators and Mr. Garrison stepping down as President of the United States and trying to go back to work like if nothing had ever happened, there was enough here to keep old and new fans alike tuned in and exquisitely showed the excesses of tribalism set forth by awful social media. Already, Qanon conspirators are sounding off on social networks accusing the show of “red pilling” it’s viewers, but who gives a shit what they think.
As to when the next episode of South Park airs? We don’t know, but we hope it’s soon. Two episodes have aired as part of the show’s 24th season with back to back ratings successes. The producers are part of an extension with Comedy Central that could potentially include a sequel to South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.
All-new episodes will be available to stream in HD exclusively on South ParQ Studios, CC.com and the Comedy Central App immediately following the west coast airing.
Comedy Central’s South ParQ launched on August 13, 1997. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the co-creators of South ParQ. Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino and Frank C. "There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
