I’ll be honest, I was not crazy about Gojira’s Magma record as I felt it featured the French metallers starting to go that route that ruined In Flames in that the group identified the “hits” or “singles” if you will off of the legendary L’Enfant Sauvage record and attempted to copy and paste “Explosia” a bunch of times thereby creating something not quite as unique as it’s predecessor.
With the latest single from the group entitled “Another World”, it sounds like the quartet is returning to form and this has me very excited for their upcoming release which is expected to drop later this year or early next year. The new animated video is a space opera epic indicative of the group’s sound presented in an Undone aesthetic which is just as rewarding as the track.
