Marvel Cancels Production On Tigra & Dazzler, Howard the Duck, And Probably “The Offenders”

Welp, I guess I can’t call all of them. A couple of weeks ago when troubles started brewing about Tigra & DazzlerI guessed that none of the four adult animated series from the producers formerly known as Marvel TV would get a second season. I guess I was only half-right, because Disney’s Marvel has canceled production on Tigra, Howard the Duck, and probably The Offenders crossover, which would’ve featured all of the aforementioned characters, leaving just M.O.D.O.Kand Hit-Monkey alive for the time being.

Howard the Duck producer Kevin Smith, no stranger to having adult animated series canceled by Disney after a takeover, had this to say:

Alas, Howard remains trapped in a world he never made. Thanks to #JephLoeb, @DaveWillis2 and the Best Duckin’ Writer’s Room for all the effort. May we all @Marvel meet again one day on something else!

This isn’t the first-time that Disney/Marvel has canceled an adult animated series before it aired. A couple of years ago, they did the same with FX’s Deadpool with producers Donald and Stephen Glover on board to produce as a result of reported creative differences, the same creative differences that seemed to haunt Tigra which subsequently lead to this whole mess.
