Review: We Bare Bears “Pizza Band”
Let’s slice this one up.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The guys head to a local pizza place with an animatronic band that breaks down mid-set which horrifies the children. The manager of the pizza place opts to select the bears to replace the fake band in exchange for free pizza which the bears are more than happy to accept. Eventually, the bears get so popular that they decide to go on tour and gain a mass following on their lone single. But, when the bears start having those “creative differences”, the band goes to shit, and the party is over.
Our Take
The animatronic band has been lampooned by several other series before and we’ve seen a lot of touring band setups as well. Most this week’s episode is just montage and really doesn’t get that funny until the climax that sees Ice Bear turn into Deadmau5.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
