We showed you guys all of the TBS sneak peeks from Comic Con over a week ago for all of the upcoming animated comedies coming in the 2017-2018 season. Now let’s dig in to the trailers and try and uncover plot points, character details, and a whole lot more. First up, we look at the sneak peek that was posted on a couple of weeks ago for Close Enough, let’s tear it apart, and show you it’s insides.

Welcome to Close Enough. A new animated series produced by J.G. Quintel about 20 year olds becoming 30 year olds and all of the joy that brings. Right away from the first trailer you can see visual queues from Regular Show just presented in a more adult format.

Expect way more crass humor in Close Enough whence compared to the likes of Regular Show. That said, while most of the characters haven’t been revealed, we do know that J.G. Quintel plays a young father who takes his wife and kid and move into a house with divorced friends so as to take advantage of a better school district for their daughter.
Meet the divorced couple that J.G.’s character moves in with. The one on the right, MIGHT be “Alex” if we go by the trailer but it’s possible that the spirit that shows up in the trailer is talking to somebody else.
Similar to Regular Show, Close Enough appears to have supernatural elements that help expand the breadth of the show. In the trailer we’re treated to stripper clowns, jellyfish, giant bunny rabbits, ghosts, and vikings all with promise to provide an animated experience that is very much dissimilar to what we get on TBS now and even when compared to the other upcoming animated offerings that TBS is working on.
