This episode was 5 mins and 09 seconds long partially due to a promotional commercial at the beginning of the vid telling people that it’s now their last chance to get tickets to see RWBY Vol 1-3 theatrically.

“Ren Makes Pancakes”

The episode starts with Ren making Pancakes while humming to himself.

He finishes his batch feeling a sense of accomplishment.

But as briefly turns around to get syrup for his batch, This happens…

We cut to him making a larger batch and as he looks around in paranoia, he’s made a substantially large stack.

He quickly turns around for the syrup again and they disappear and Ren starts to develop a small eye-twitch in frustration.

At this point Ren isn’t having it, and decides to setup an elaborate Tom & Jerry style trap which involves a cage suspended by rope.

When Ren turns around to get the syrup, He hears a loud metal sound indicating that the Trap worked and finds Nora cartoonishly obese like “Fat Princess” and demands the syrup but Ren just shakes his head in disappointment and pours it on her head before it cuts to the next skit.

Ren cooking pancakes was both cute, yet foreboding. For where Ren is, Nora is not far behind. I guess this is what happens when Ren isn’t wearing his “Please do nothing to the cook” apron.

“Jaune ASMR”

Jaune is recording something but we’re not sure if this is a radio broadcast or not.

He talks about doing an “ASMR Video” and gives an explanation on what it is which apparently is sounds and imagery that are supposed to give a “Tingle sensation in the back of your neck” that make you feel happy and refreshed. He uses examples of this like “getting a haircut or when that special lady says Hi to you” and Ironically enough, Phyrra says which triggers a small jump scare.

Jaune proceeds to go forward with this thing by using random objects on hand around him such as turning on a shaving razor, making sounds with an empty chip bag,

For some reason Nora is briefly in the background giggling to herself.

She then sneaks up behind Jaune and for some reason her calmly saying “hey” makes him jump in fear. (Apparently the tingle sensation isn’t pleasure for Jaune when any woman says hi to him.)

According to the Forums of RoosterTeeth, Jaune’s ASMR was close to the actual ASMR that Miles did. (Which is appropriate since Miles Luna voices Jaune.)

“Nurse Ruby”

Weiss lays in her bunk-bed in pain and Ruby expressed concern.

She asks for medicine and Ruby being the nice person she is, says “you got it, I know exactly what you need. I’ll be right back!” and zips out of the room.

Only to return with a “warm glass of milk” a particular videogame called “Kung-fu Ninja Slayer Ultimate Deathbattle 2” and “Motivational cat Poster” with Blake on the Image. (I started to laugh at that point. )

 

Weiss politely says to Ruby in her own words she just needs medicine but Ruby says “This is how my Dad took care of me when I was sick.”

She notices Yang asking for her help and ironically she proceeds to administer the same methods Ruby was attempting and the skit ends with Weiss groaning in pain.

It’s abundantly clear that either Weiss’s Dad wasn’t much of a Dad to her or that Ruby and Yang are the worst caretakers ever.

RWBY Chibi was cute even if That ASMR video segment with Jaune was kind of cringe worthy. Granted it was probably supposed to be but it was a challenge to sit through, for me at least. But Including “Death Battle” in the title of the video game in the “Nurse Ruby” skit made up for it.
