Review: LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu “On a Wish and a Prayer”
Probably the two things you need to make me like this show in the first place.
Spoilers Below
The other Ninja travel head to a dangerous island but during the trip there’s a storm and Zane goes below deck and finds Nadakhan. The genie convinces Zane into wishing himself to another world. Eventually, the ninja learn of Jay’s new house, and the others begin to wonder how he got that and a boat. Cole claims he saw Nadakhan, so the Ninja make Jay get the Tiger Widow Venom, but when Nadakhan finds out that the Ninja are getting the only thing that can stop him, he goes after them. Jay gets the venom, but Nadakhan teleports Jay and disposes of the venom. Nadakhan captures Jay and we learn that there may be no more venom, fortunately, Nya reveals that Nadakhan emptied the wrong canister, which means the Ninja get another chance at stopping Nadakhan.
Our Take
The chickens came home to roost on a few different fronts for tonight’s episode. Whether it was the wrong canister with the venom or Jay having to admit to the team that he might be Nya’s stalker, there was a lot unexpected twists. For the most part, there was a bunch of teases. Nadakhan keeps making faint threats, but really doesn’t cause much damage other than capturing the Ninjago every once in a while. At the end of the day he’s just building an island in the sky. But can the team every REALLY trust Jay again? And what’s gonna happen to Zane now that he’s in a similar boat? Lots of questions as we head into another episode on Tuesday.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
