‘The Simpsons: Tapped Out’ Drops Huge Springfield Heights Update
One of the best things about The Simpsons: Tapped Out mobile game is the constant little thematic updates released every month or so. They add a few new goals, items, locations, and characters each time, keeping the game fresh in short & sweet increments.
This is not one of those updates.
Available now, the new Springfield Heights addition is the third major expansion for the app, and includes more than 10 new buildings, 20 new decorations, and 50 new plots of land. Cookie Kwan is the latest new star, following in the footsteps of Captain McCallister and Krusty the Clown for the Squidport and Krustyland Expansions, respectively.
Accessible via a tunnel in the Springfield Mountains (look for the “Springfield Heights” sign), players must be at level 30 to play, or the area will be blocked with rubble and a warning barrier, with the sign covered in vegetation.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
