There were definitely some snubs from the Emmy noms that happened earlier today. Here’s what we saw:
All Streaming Services: While Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming networks did really well in seemingly every other category, none of those services were represented in the Emmy nominations. Why? Well, pickin’s are small, but I think this changes next year because XBone, WWE Network, Crackle, and Netflix are all producing new animated fare that could very well be major players next year. Pretty much all of Adult Swim: This is kinda horseshit. Seriously Emmy guys, Black Dynamite, The Boondocks, Venture Bros., the list goes on and on. A LOT of Adult Swim programming fell by the wayside in terms of getting Emmy nominated with the exception of Robot Chicken. There is so much good programming, to see none of it get validated by the people who put this shit together is hog wash. FXX: At least Adult Swim had one show, poor FXX networks had no animated programming appear. I would think both Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and Stone Quackers were ripped, and why John C. Reilly didn’t get any voice recognition on the latter of the two shows is beyond me. Disney XD: No Star Wars Rebels? No Gravity Falls? Phineas and Ferb??? Maybe we were on to something when we said that Wander Over Yonder was the best show on this network.
Were there any shows or voice actors that you guys feel also got snubbed? Sound off below.
