Alas, NBC had it’s go at the TCA’s this past weekend, unfortunately, nothing was announced in terms of a pickup for the rumored Ed Helms and Graham Wagner animated series that was announced last year for presentation to NBC called Mystery Island. Granted, no one should get excited for NBC to try and jump back into the animated comedy game, but Mystery Island was our most recent bastion of hope that they would.
For those that don’t remember, Mystery Island surrounds a crew of ship-wrecked passengers marooned on an island with Ed Helms lending his voice in the starring role.
NBC announced a bunch of other new properties, so maybe we will just have to wait until Upfronts 2014 to get a better update.
