The Cheto family finds themselves in front of the television once again before their wild adventure devolves. This time the family shows excitement and interest in the latest cologne brought to them by Pitbull, the famed rapper. Juana convinces the family to come sneak in and check it out at the Nordstrom’s warehouse before its day view.  Fascinated and mesmerized by the Pitbull fragrance they get distracted and caught up hiding from security as the store begins to close. Locked up with no lights and no were to go, things get campy, and ghostly, as they findge for overnight survival within the mall using brand-new sleeping bags and other products to camp out. Things seem pleasant at first with the candlelight and guitar playing of Mrs.Cheto but suddenly a ghastly green specter presents it self. The spirit of Pitbull? The incarnation of a demonic figure according to Don Cheto ( I fully agree with his statement ).

The episode takes a hilarious and wacky turn as it continues to make a mockery of the acclaimed Latino rap star. The story cleverly turns into a ghost busting parody as they who the spirit of Pitbull by making Carnal dress like a lady and suctioning Pitbull into vacuums. Morning comes around and the manager of the mall finds them passed out only to explain that they were trapped by the ghost of Pitbull. The surveillances cameras proved them wrong as it showed them simply fooling around with the stores goods and no sine of the specter. The episode comes to a silly halt as don cheto tries to ghost bust the manager after threatening to call the police.

I love how this episode took more of a liberty to make references and jokes out of current and old media. It was great to see a caricature of the famed South American rapper, Pitbull, I really think they did a great job by using his one liner, “ya tu saves!!”, as one of the main sources of comedic gusto and by extorting his macho ladies man kind of character. Again, more and more this show seems to be taking that Family Guy approach that they claimed of, which means more and more humor that appeals to the likes of me, dark and insulting. I still feel these short episodes can give me more laughs within a 5 minute time frame and it could still use improvement with a higher level of cleverness and spontaneity. Never the less the show is going the right direction and I’m sure that the Chicano viewer and fans of Don Cheto will be quite satisfied, as long as they keep pumping out more episodes with regularity and originality to give the public what they need.. a new laugh for a change.
