Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive, but we decide to analyze. Because we do that.

According to The Hollywood ReportsRobert Cohen (The Ben Stiller Show, The Big Bang Theory), recurring The Simpsons writers Joel Cohen and Tim LongChuck Tatham (How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development) and Dan Signer, creator of Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm have teamed up to create a mighty Canadian-laced team of Avengers that are looking to not only create more original content for the United States, but also for their home town areas. The name of the company is called Maple Gravy (which sounds delicious) and the group is being rep-ed by CAA the agency that has everyone.

Some of these guys have put out their own animated content already as Simpsons-scribes Tim Long and Joel Cohen put out the recently cancelled Crash Canyon for Teletoon at Night and Chuck Tatham helped produce the online animated series The Potts. Oh yea, and let us not forget Dan Signer who created A.N.T. Farm the show that said, “Screw it!” and used web cartoons as a bullying tactic altogether.

Will this new faction lead to more original animated content for Canada? We will have to wait and see. But, right now, their track records for success in that department are about as good as a Canadian team winning the NHL Stanley Cup this year.
