Garmadon creates a powerful weapon.

The Great Devourer is history, and now the Ninjago has to train Garmadon’s son Lloyd. Problem is the guys need a place to stay so they find an apartment downtown that is a bit shoddy but they take it because the training facilities are top-notch. Unfortunately, to help make ends meet everyone has to get part-time jobs and still somehow balance that with training Lloyd. They soon realize that everything is by far easier said then done as due to the hectic work schedules it gets increasingly difficult to train the newb much to Lloyd’s dismay.

Meanwhile, Garmadon takes over and unifies the Serpentine due to the fact that he has the four golden weapons. His mission is to ascertain his son, Lloyd back before the Ninjago warriors teach him Spinjitzu plus with the four weapons he can control the warriors as he sees fit. However, to try and get the rest of the Serpentine on board with him Skales kidnaps Jay and then the rest of the crew robs a bank causing the rest of the Ninjago to follow. Eventually, their battle takes them onto a moving train that nearly clips Jay, but the rest of the Ninjago are their to stop it. Meanwhile, back at the apartment Skales tries to take Lloyd but the Sensei shows up and sends the green guy packin’.

Not a bad first episode but there were a lot of flaws. For one, none of the dialogue was really all that funny and the plot points were a bit TOO predictable even for a series targeted towards a younger audience. I did however like the whole having to find a job while living in the big city as I thought that was pretty humorous watching Ninjago taking various odd jobs.
