REVIEW: BOB’S BURGERS “MOODY FOODIE”

The Moody Foodie’s in town and he’s closing down restaurants left and right with his scathing yet honest reviews of all of the town’s restaurants. Next on the list? BOB’S BURGERS! And yes, Moody shows up like advertised, and after a rocky service one week later its in the papers that Bob’s Burgers is terrible. Bob freaks out and basically calls out everyone in his family telling them all how bad they are at their jobs. Soon, the regular customers also become dissatisfied with Bob’s food as the terms “Over done and dry” becomes synonymous with Bob’s Burgers.

To help combat the negative image,the kids start their own PR firm with the goal of cleaning up the clout surrounding the restaurant. Eventually, their travels have them following their dad over to where the critic lives only to break into the guy’s house and begin wrestling with him.Soon, Bob ties up the critic to a chair and begins to cook him a new burger for a redo review, but soon all the other restaurant owners come over to do the same. Even worse, the UPS guy gets tied up too! Eventually, everyone comes to their senses and Bob decides that everyone should go back to their shops to try and improve their food. And judging by the critic’s most recent take…Bob’s Burgers is till good!

Patton Oswalt was great as the food critic, but he really is good in just about every role he does..voice or otherwise. I will say it was quite a bit disturbing for all the restaurant owners shoving food into the Foodie’s mouth while tied up as it kept giving me the sense of a weird bondage film or something Alas, however the plot was very comical and Jon Benjamin as Bob was really into it tonight going over the top funny. So, unlike the Moody Foodie I will not give Bob’s Burgers two thumbs down but rather one thumb up!
