Review: The Cleveland Show “Yemen Party”

Donna joins a women’s support group and complains about how Cleveland treats her, so he dresses as a woman and infiltrates the group to offer her his side. Meanwhile, Cleveland Jr. and Rallo join forces to stop the playground bully.

Spoilers Below

Donna starts a group with ladies that all complain about their husbands. So Cleveland creates an alter ego named Fatima, a girl from Yemen dressed up in a burkha pretending to be a wife in distress having not seen her family in so long.  The girls LOVE Fatima, so much so that they put her on a plane to Yemen to be reunited with her husband but is really just one of twenty different wives all of whom are treated like shit. Having seen what its like to be a wife treated with disrespect, Cleveland comes to realize that Donna should be happier and pledges to help out in any way he can…just not today.

Rallo has a new avatar and his name is Cleveland Jr(well not really, he “connects” to Junior ala how Sam Worthington connects to a Toruk). Their first order of business is to take out the school yard bully. But the bully comes back with his own avatar to battle to a battle to the death!

I’m really starting to like how this family is connecting. Like Rallo and Junior are actually trying to be friends and help each other out in times of need. But, to be honest I am getting tired of Avatar story lines in shows that I watch(Simpsons did it like a month ago) but I really liked the main plot. I just thought it was great how a stereotypical Muslim woman infiltrates a group run by Americans, only to be deported back to their own country.
