WHOA WHOA WHOA! American Dad! Moves to TBS!! What comes in to replace it on FOX?

Holy Shit! American Dad moves from on from FOX! We have the deets!

UPDATE 3:39pm EST

So, now we have a press release and we know a little more. In it are statements from TBS and FOX, that been clear up that the 15 episodes are ordered for the 11th season of American Dad. So, FOX will air the 10th Season in its entirety then TBS will pick it up in 2014 for its eleventh season with its own 15 episodes . No word yet on when and what time the series will premier, but I would DOUBT Saturday and Sunday Nights. Sister network Adult Swim is set to present encores of each episode after initial airings on TBS.

 

FOX must be fixing to announce SOMETHING new for Animation Domination because quietly they kinda sorta cancelled American Dad according to Deadline.com of which now has a full season pickup on TBS starting in 2014. Turns out the order is smaller too, as FOX used to typically order close to 30 episodes, TBS is ordering 15. So, what’s the bigger story here? Is TBS getting into the animated thing again after their failed attempt with Neighbors from Hell? Or is FOX getting ready to green light a new series?

This is a pretty big deal. This means not one, but TWO  Seth MacFarlane-produced series will have been removed after the legendary Family Guy creator pretty much took over the Animation Domination lineup save for Bob’s Burgers and The Simpsons. The network is also bringing in a new lineup of cartoons in Animation Domination HD, so this could be a way for the network to clear space for shows that have more or less been ‘promoted’ from that lineup to the more illustrious Sunday Night lineup.

OR

Could FOX be bringing in a recently discharged series (Futurama) or something else new entirely. We’ve talked in the past about new shows from guys like 50 Cent, Jack Black, and even Patton Oswalt all being shown to FOX so could one of them been picked up? Time will tell, but starting in 2014, we have one less prime-time show on FOX, and one more on TBS.

That said, American Dad will be at San Diego Comic Con 2013, but no word yet on when those 15 episodes will premier, but we do know we get new American Dad starting this Fall on FOX.
