Watch: First Look at @CWSeed ‘s ‘Gallery Mallory’

CW jumps into online animated comedy, but it looks as though the network is looking to distance itself from the pack with their new series Gallery Mallory. Learn all about the series after the jump and get a new trailer!

More and more animated shows are starting to be fronted by women which is great because I prefer them to dudes anyway. Eva Longoria is coming out with her new series called Mother Up! and now the CW network is getting into the fray with their new series Gallery Mallory.  From initial impressions the series looks to have the animation stylings of Archer, but with a mind for the Daria audience. Add in the fact that you have Rachel Bloom (Robot Chicken) voicing the star of the show ‘Mallory’ and you might have a winner here.

We actually first mentioned this show a while ago back when it was called Gallery Girls.  But to refresh your memory, Mallory is a gallerina and she must be a highly sought after one because she works out of SoHo and is barraged by celebrities. Celebs like Maury Povich and Chris Bosh make and entrance with the latter proving he isn’t the only Miami Heat player that can voice an animated series and as a matter of fact Bosh actually does it better than the King himself. To help round out the cast we are introduced to ‘Fernando’ played by Jason Nash who comes off as sort of a Andy Cohen from Bravo- inspired character.

CW Seed looks to be an initiative from CW similar to the pilots program on Adult Swim where they are letting fans give some feedback in terms of some of the programming the network is looking at premiering. Gallery Girls looks to be a great idea and could be a strong addition for the network that may be looking to spice up its programming. Check out a behind-the-scenes for Gallery Girls below and look out because the series premiers August 15th on CW Seed.
