Voice of Bart Simpson Confirms That She Can’t Confirm Harry Shearer’s Exit
Ever since the news first broke that veteran Simpsons voice actor Harry Shearer would be leaving the show after a 26-year run, we at BubbleBlabber have held out hope that a deal could be struck between the two parties in time for season 27.
Turns out, these hopes might not be completely unfounded. While speaking with K-EARTH101 in Los Angeles, Nancy Cartwright (a.k.a. the voice of Bart Simpson) said she could not confirm or deny if Shearer is in fact leaving, keeping the possibility open that he could still work out a deal with the producers.
Furthermore, Cartwright stressed that Shearer wasn’t canned, as some outlets reported. “I want to dispel a rumor though,” she said. “He was not fired…this is his choice and all I can do is refer you to Maggie Simpson, and she ain’t talking.”
Of course, executive producer & showrunner Al Jean confirmed in great detail that Harry made his exit, but he also left open the possibility of the two sides reaching an agreement at some point.
We can only hope.

Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
