Viz and Neon Alley Decide to Jump in the Way-Back Machine!
In this installment of the Way-Back Machine, Viz and Neon Alley decide to bring a movie almost forgotten to Hulu. InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler came out in 2003, and re-released on Blu-Ray in 2010.
The movie revolves around the hidden third sword of InuYasha’s father. With InuYasha wielding Tessaiga, and Sesshomaru using Tensaiga, the “missing blade” has been found in present day Japan. This blade, Sō’unga, is a cursed sword, with the only thing keeping it at bay is it’s sheath. When the sword takes over InuYasha’s arm, the fight returns to the past where Inuyasha and Sesshomaru must put their life-long hatred of one another aside to conquer the demon sword.
This was one of the better InuYasha movies, because it ties in most of InuYasha’s family tree, and almost seems canon. If you’ve never seen Swords of an Honorable Ruler, I suggest taking some time, clicking play below, and watching the movie. It’s probably the best thing to come from InuYasha.
