Ubermansion AND Mr. Pickles BOTH get airtime on Adult Swim last night plus additional notes about other pilots

Find out which show we thought that was better.

pilots

For those thinking that Ubermansion was going to be the only show that was going to get the pilot treatment last night on Adult Swim were probably a little more than surprised when runner-up Mr. Pickles would air directly after. However, Adult Swim quietly posted on its schedule the airing of Mr. Pickles and from what I am gathering more people are actually talking about that show than Ubermansion aka the series coming from the producers of Robot Chicken and Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston.

However, I have some inside info that COULD be interesting for fans of Mr. Pickles and King Star King, but I’m still going to keep that info rather vague for the latter. So, I am told that there is actually another Mr. Pickles pilot somewhere this one for a half hour so those wanting more there is definitely more out there. In terms of King Star King, sources have told me that this show has been picked up for six episodes, but there’s no word on an air date.

The one show that probably NEVER had a chance, was Coffin Dodgers due to the fact that the guys who created the series Dave Silverstein and Matt Jeser are also guys that now do a whole bunch for Animation Domination HD over on FOX including acting as exec producers for both Axe Cop and High School USA! and we all know how that FOX/Adult Swim relationship is going, don’t we?

Overall, I think the Adult Swim pilots program was a lot of fun and as such I think they should do more. Until then, check out reviews for Coffin Dodgers, Rolling with Dad, Ubermansion, King Star King, and Mr. Pickles.
