There is no animated series on television today that hearkens back to the glory days of Nickelodeon cartoons better than Regular Show. It is by far the best series on Cartoon Network and fans of Adventure Time should just deal with this fact. For those whom do not watch the show, Regular Show stars a bird named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby, both of whom work at a national park with a bunch of whacked out characters like Skips, Muscle Man, Pops, Benson, and a host of others. At times, the series takes on a normal workplace comedy about two young adults just trying to make a living and having to deal with all of their boss’ stupid requests. Other times, the show takes on an almost otherworldly type as the guys are constantly moving in and out of different universes and being visited by beings and monsters not from around here.

Regular Show typically takes tops in terms of ratings at its time slot and as a result anything that follows after it usually becomes the benefactor (see: The Annoying Orange) and for good measure. The writing is on another planet in terms of awesome, the animation is some of the best in the world, and the fan base is absolutely rabid. Regular Show capped off a strong 2012 with a Christmas special that pretty much showed all the other Christmas specials how to do it and how to do it right. If you are someone of whom has never watched the show, start, if you are someone whom has watched it once and didn’t get it, keep watching because eventually you do, anyone working in the business start taking notes because show creator J.G. Quintel might be your boss one day.
