This has been a mixed bag of a week for Seth MacFarlane-produced shows. On one hand, American Dad is moving to TBS which means that not one but two Seth shows have been cancelled by FOX this year leaving just one, Family Guy. On the other hand, Seth has confirmed the return of Cleveland Brown to Family Guyhe’s still got shows all over San Diego Comic Con,and now FOX announces that in Fall 2014, the cast of Family Guy will be visiting the Simpsons in SPRINGFIELD!

According to a press release from FOX:

In “The Simpsons Guy” episode of FAMILY GUY, Peter (Seth MacFarlane) and the Griffins get out of dodge and end up in Springfield, where they are greeted by a friendly stranger named Homer Simpson (guest voice Dan Castellaneta), who welcomes his new “albino” friends with open arms. The families get along famously: Stewie (MacFarlane) becomes obsessed with Bart (guest voice Nancy Cartwright) and his old-fashioned pranks; Lisa (guest voice Yeardley Smith) takes Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing and is determined to find something – anything – at which she excels; Marge (guest voice Julie Kavner) and Lois (Alex Borstein) ditch housework for a little bonding; and Peter and Homer fight over the best beer in town – Pawtucket vs Duff.

I wonder if this episode gets good, maybe next time the Simpsons can visit Quahog?? That said, this isn’t the first time Homer has seen Peter Griffin as  last season he did a cameo bit. In any case the full-fledged episode sounds bad ass! That said, we have to wait all the way until 2014 for this episode, but no worries, Fall 2013 is almost here and both The Simpsons and Family Guy have a whole bunch of new episodes on deck.

FIXED: Prior article mixed up who was visiting who. #SDCChangover
