Tesla CEO Elon Musk to Guest Star on The Simpsons

“You know you’re famous when you get featured on The Simpsons,” said Tesla Motors/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, referring to his upcoming guest voice appearance on the show.

Musk will play himself in the Season 26 episode, “The Musk Who Fell to Earth,” in which Mr. Burns loses his fortune to the electric car manufacturer, Simpsons producer Al Jean announced at a Comic-Con panel last weekend.

“Elon Musk in ep 1/11 and not a ‘kiss ass’ celebrity guest star turn,” Jean added via Twitter yesterday.

This won’t be the first time an electric car makes an appearance on The Simpsons, and it technically won’t be Musk’s first either. In Season 11’s “Beyond Blunderdome,” Homer test drove an Elec-Taurus to get free tickets to a movie screening, and “Elon Musk” was a variety of ASK Body Spray in Season 25’s “Steal This Episode.”

The 43-year-old Musk has previously appeared in films like Iron Man 2, Machete Kills, and Transcendence.
