What in the God damn wrong is with the Los Angeles Dodgers? They did a solid in inviting the great Hank Azaria to read off the starting lineup for the team the other day, but he’s doing it with the Tron: Legacy soundtrack in the background.  As much as I love the Tron movies wouldn’t you pick a more uplifting soundtrack when you have one of the funnier guys in America there reading off the lineup?? I just thought it made the whole call out of the roster seem like it was supposed to be funny (which it was) somehow mixing in with a movie that is all about the evil counterpart of Kevin Flynn vying for world domination.That’s like Louis C.K. doing stand-up with ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion playing in the background. TVGUIDE Gets first look at Eva Longoria on The Simpsons

TVGuide.com has gotten the exclusive first look pic of Eva Longoria’s character ‘Isabel’ of whom is set to guest on an episode of The Simpsons sometime next season. According to the article:

“I play Isabel, a new student who is finally Lisa’s intellectual equal,” Longoria says. ”They ­become fast friends, and then things take a left turn when they realize they have different political views. This is a big stretch for me not only because it’s voice work, which I rarely do, but also [because] I’m playing a Republican and I’m obviously a Democrat.”

Lisa has had a bunch of intellectual equals before so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out. This isn’t the only time you get to see Eva voice a character as she’s been making the rounds promoting her new animated series on Hulu set to premier this fall called Mother Up! The Simpsons have announced a whole bunch of guest stars recently including Anderson Cooper, Kristen Wiig, and a mess of others.

Right now The Simpsons are in reruns, but they will be returning this fall with all new episodes.

We reported a few weeks ago that Universal Studios is putting together a whole The Simpsons-themed park centered around its already opened The Simpsons Ride. Welp, according to Gizmodo (by way of Rich) some of the restaurants and bars are already opened for the Summer including Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, the Frying Dutchman, Luigi’s Pizza,  and Lard Lad’s. You can watch a trailer for the park after the jump. And word to the wise for all the managers of these places, ChefRich may be sending you filled-out applications sooner rather than later.

Yeardley Smith from The Simpsons  is heading to New Zealand events this weekend

Fresh off a 24th Season of The Simpsons and being part of a really cool documentary for FOX called ‘Day in the Life’ , Yeardley Smith (Lisa) is going to be making a few stops in New Zealand to help promote the animated series!  Turns out she will be making stops at two Pup Culture Expos (known as Cons here in the States). This weekend she will be appearing at the Armageddon Expo at the Claudelands Arena and next weekend she will be at WestPac Stadium for another one.
