Just in case if we didn’t have enough animated shows taking places in the outer reaches of space, here’s another one called Star Jerks. This is a new pilot coming from Mondo Animation that features a bunch of jerks of whom found a way to travel in the outreaches of space of whom in this episode are able to meet a bunch of guys from Star Trek. Check out the debut episode below and tell us what you think, but also expect a review to come your way sooner rather than later.
Its kind of shitty that we don’t have an embeddable clip for this but Mondo Mini Shows recently posted up a trailer for a brand new episode of Happy Tree Friends called “Bottled Up Inside“. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments below!
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the rankings are here and the big story is the first full week of Cartoon Hangover most notably the debut of Bravest Warriors. Not surprisingly, the Pen Ward-led series has amassed quite a following in a short amount of time, and in this week’s Youtube Channel rankings on Deadline.com we can see that as the series moves from #64 to #46. Mondo and Shut Up Cartoons both dropped a little bit but with Shut Up Cartoons starting to show off some new series’ like Sub:3, it will be interesting to see how the channel performs moving forward.
Dick Figures is celebrating its TWO year anniversary and creators Ed & Zack want YOU to be part of the action. As such, Zack recently wrote up a bunch of rules for a contest on the Mondo blog where the winners can win a chance to have THEIR comic animated and turned into a new short. The winner will be selected to have the best three-panel comic next Monday by Zack and Ed themselves! So, if you think you’ve got what it takes, head on over the Mondo site and enter today!

Its a new edition of Web’s Day and its all Mondo this week! We got reviews for new pilots Book ‘Em Nerdo and 4th Period Lunch, plus Off the Curb of which provides for some familiar voices! Check it out!
This week in an all-new edition of Webs Day, we get one new show from Shut Up Cartoons, one from Mondo Mini, and Ryan Gosling ordering a Cheeseburger inspired by the movie Drive. After the jump, see which shows should stay, which should go, and which should “Drive”.
Post Nuclear Family is a relatively new show among Mondo Animation’s quality slate. What I truly like about all the shows on Mondo is the comraderie amongst them all, mainly with the big shows like Dick Figures and Happy Tree Friends that are insanely popular showing off promos for some of Mondo’s newer properties like PNF. In a world filled with greed its pretty refreshing to see cool shit like this. If you haven’t seen Post Nuclear Family yet the show centers around a family as they try to live in a post-apocalyptic setting like you’d see in 28 Days Later. Check out our review of the series here but only after you watch this cross over promo with Blue and Red coming to grips with the end of the world.
WOW, just WOW! According to Deadline.com in a recent rankings of the Youtube channels, one Mondo Mini Shows has moved from the #90 spot in the top 100 most views for the week of Sept 2nd all the way up to #16 nearly matching Shut Up Cartoons. When have we said that EVER since doing this weekly channel rankings. Cartoon Hangover has climbed up a bit too, probably due to the anticipation of its new series Superf*ckers and Bravest Warriors which are set to hit pretty soon.
This week on Its Webs Day, we check out two mermaids that call Miami, Florida home, what happens when evil super-villains retire, and what happens when Batman and The Avengers get a little time. All this and more after the jump!
Trying to make this a more standard update as the results come in, as Deadline has released the Youtube channel rankings. Probably feeling the heat from the Olympics, a bunch of movies, and people just wanting to go outside in the summer, Shut Up Cartoons has dropped in rank to 8th down from its previous week of a 5th place finish for last week. Mondo Media has dropped a spot but is still steady clocking in about 1,000,000 views for the week,
For the full list of Youtube channels and where they rank with views, check out the list onDeadline.
This week in an all new Webs Day, we take a look at new web videos from College Humor and its sister site Dorkly, plus a new pilot from Mondo Media that is surely meant for fans of Halo. Check it!
I think we are starting to see online channels distancing themselves as far as quality is concerned as typically channels Shut Up! and Mondo continue to pump out the hits while Hangover does the opposite. After the jump we review Lulinternet Can Suck It, Video Game Therapist, and Gundarr-Meme Goose-ta!
There are a SHIT ton of new online animated channels either here or on there way, and it can be tough to see which shows/channels are worth checking out. Thankfully, you guys have me(cheap plug) and the Los Angeles Times to help you discern through the crap and make smart decisions on what’s worth watching. After the jump see which channels LA times mentioned and which shows I think are a pass/fail.
