WE ARE BOYCOTTING ‘DAN VS’

I love Dan Vs., and this letter isn’t out to any of the writers, actors, or creators of the awesome animated series but we have to put our foot down against the network. Recently, they announced that starting this upcoming Saturday Night on the Hub, instead of getting new episodes of Dan Vs we have to sit through Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters. The show stars Phil Lamarr and John DiMaggio(both of whom voice characters on Futurama) and I love those guys, but do we really need ANOTHER show based on a trading card? I don’t!! More importantly I don’t want this show on at the same time as when Dan Vs is supposed to be on, a FAR better and way more original show. Oh yea, turns out The Hub IS airing three new episodes of Dan Vs, however if you want to catch them they are on at three fucking PM. That’s right, instead of going to the beach or sitting by the pool on what will probably be a Christ meltingly hot day, you COULD be inside watching Dan Vs. Yea, you could DVR the show, but FUCK THAT! I want Dan Vs  BACK ON its regular slot of 8pm on Saturday Night. And until then, we will be doing NO coverage of Dan Vs. Maybe then will the Hub learn, don’t be a fucking JERK!

FRESNOBEE INTERVIEWS CURTIS ARMSTRONG FROM ‘DAN VS’

I literally JUST saw this interview that was posted a month ago on Fresnobee.com, that being a new interview with Dan Vs star Curtis Armstrong. In it Curtis talks a little bit how he approaches the character of Dan and if he has a mean streak of his own…

“While I don’t consider myself a sociopath, I would say I have a lot in common with him,” Armstrong says during an interview at the Hub offices. “I guess it’s because I can tap into anger. I don’t have trouble tapping into anger. It doesn’t come out much in my life. I’m a fairly easygoing person, but I do have triggers. When those triggers are pulled, there’s no stopping it.

“Usually it has to do with work-related things.”

I fear to think about those triggers would be, but I DO know that Dan Vs is all new this Saturday night on The Hub so check your local listings! Who knows if you miss it, that might be the one thing that sets off Curtis!

Dan Vs returns this Saturday Night in an all new episode and guess who’s coming back? John C. McGinley! Other than the fact that its a big deal because McGinley is truthfully one of my favorite actors with of course his most notable role as Dr. Cox from Scrubs, but this also means we could get the return of Dan’s Imposter! The name of the episode is “The Telemarketer” so something tells me this Saturday Night’s all new episode is going to be all sorts of chaotic!

Dan Vs., is all new this Saturday Night on The Hub, check your local listings!

DON”T WORRY!! ‘DAN VS.’ IS COMING BACK FOR A SEASON 3 ON THE HUB! WITH EARLY SKETCHES!!

 

I’ve been getting some emails in regards to the lack of posts about Dan Vs., as of late so I figure I should do some poking around. Eventually I stumbled on to character designer Chris Battle’s Facebook page and was able to find some cool nuggets. Here’s one of them:

Just finished the last drawing for DAN VS. season 2! … But we’re already a month into design for season 3, so whatevs :P

So yes, you should know Dan Vs IS coming back not only for a Season 3 but for additional episodes of Season 2. Now, if we go by last year’s schedule the Dan Vs guys did take a couple weeks off and when they came back they had 6 more episodes starting in Mid-May through early July. As such, I would NOT be surprised if they did the same for this season. Also, Chris Battle has a blog and on that blog he offers up some sneak peaks of Dan in early sketches.

First, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to EVERYONE disappointed by the fact that our site was down pretty much half of Monday and just about all of Thursday because our cocksucking former hosting provider Dreamhost decided to do a network upgrade during business hours, which if you know anyone that works in the technology business that NEVER happens. So fuck’em and we are now migrating over to our NEW host over at Hostgator and we couldn’t be more excited!
