FXX & The Simpsons Bringing “Homer’s Dome” to San Diego Comic-Con ’14

Ahead of FXX’s Simpsons marathon and new app, the show and network are bringing a giant recreation of Homer’s head to Bayfront Park in San Diego during Comic-Con.

Jumping on the dome bandwagon (“domewagon?”) alongside Aqua Teen’s “Full Dome Meatwad Experience,” The Simpsons attraction will have a projection mapping experience and demo of the “Simpsons World,” as well as Marge’s Sweet Station (serving free blue cotton candy), a Kwik-E-Race game, chances to win prizes, and life-size costumed characters for fans to take photos with. Some of these snaps could end up airing during the Simpsons marathon on FXX, which would be trippy as hell to witness if you happened to be stoned while watching TV one night and a picture of you posing with Bart suddenly came on the screen.

Fans also have an opportunity to take place in a Guinness World Record attempt for “most contributions to a painting by numbers” by helping to create a mural.

The event will be open from 10am to 6pm daily between July 25th and the 27th.
