Shorts Review: Bad Days “Doctor Who”
The influx of new web shows continues with Bad Days. Find out what it’s about after the jump!
Bad Days chronicles what would happen in the absolute worst day possible for a given character. This time, we get the Doctor. Mind you, I am going into this with very minimal knowledge of Doctor Who, because that show set sail without me giving a good god damn.
The bad day begins with the Doctor playing with a ball, that he throws at his robot dog. Of course, the dog shorts out, and starts to fry. Depression starts to kick in, so the Doctor goes through the album of past companions. All of which are dead, due to the long list of crap the Doctor fought. He has an idea, and fires up the Tardis. He finds a new companion, who freaks out, and runs right into the Tardis that got parked right outside her door.
She freaks again, pressing every button possible, which sends the Tardis to a planet where Daleks and other robots are being made. The new companion just runs, while the Doctor is trying to destroy the Daleks. They destroy his Sonic Screwdriver, while the companion to be runs into angel statues. The Doctor saves her, while Stan Lee is kicking Dalek ass. Back on the Tardis, a Dalek shoots through the Doctor, causing him to reincarnate into an old man. The woman jumps out, only to get frozen, and the Doctor is stuck with his robot dog.
The only thing I can say about this episode, is “This bitch.” She makes the Doctor crash on some Dalek infested planet with haunted angel statues and weird shape shifting tentacle blobs, just to lose it, and freeze in space. Based on what every Whovian I have ever met has said about the series, this episode of Bad Days sums up every season of Doctor Who in about three minutes. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think the Doctor is a fucking idiot. You never bring a companion, they’re just cannon fodder. Actually, they’re the British version of the Star Trek red shirts. Anywho, Bad Days is a excellent watch, so check out the episode below.
