While at the local convenience store, Grizz is approached by a movie director to star in her new production. Unfortunately, Grizz doesn’t know that he’s meant to star in a horror movie as the antagonist. When the director asks him to scare some hikers, he does it in a very “Grizz” way. He pretends to be a ghost, he does some impressions, he basically does everything except actually scare anyone. Frustrated, the director moves onto the next scene where Grizz is supposed to attack a park ranger. So Grizz attacks him with some cool karate moves. The director gives up and replaces Grizz with a CGI bear acted out by Andy in a green suit.

When Grizz sees the CGI bear, he is angry at the depiction of grizzly bears. He knows that he is not violent and neither are his brothers. Of course, this gets Grizz fired. As the brothers are escorted off the set, the director sets up a scene on a mountainside. As Grizz tells Panda and Ice Bear how this movie will affect all bears, they hear commotion inside the studio. The set is falling apart, putting everyone inside in danger. Grizz runs up the side of the fake mountain to save Andy, pinned by a fake boulder, while Panda and Ice Bear get everyone else out. In the end, the three bears rescue everyone. They are true heroes. The director changes the movie to make Grizz a friendly bear, not a scary bear. Too bad no one else wanted to see that movie.

This was such a cute episode. Normally, Grizz isn’t the smartest of the bears. This time around, he was smart enough to understand the implications of being a horror movie villain. And he knew that it wouldn’t just be grizzly bears that are harmed. I think this was a great way to show that a normal person can make a change in perception, even if that person isn’t the brightest bulb.
