REVIEW: UNSUPERVISED “THE MAGIC OF SCIENCE”
Guest Cast Walton Goggins: Bruce Lindsay Audrey Wasilewski: Ms. Peters/Aimee Savarese
Spoilers Below
Gary and Joel need cash to put the power back on at Gary’s house, because his “mom” is out of town for the week and the boys can’t play video games or shower. So, they enter a school science fair where the top prize is $200, and they enlist the help of Darius who has been looking to do his own projects without the help of his parents. However, trouble ensues when Darius quits on Gary and Joel, and decides to do his project on his own. As such, Gary and Joel decide to go with the “Magic of Science” and begin consulting with a guy by the name of Bruce Lindsay(Walton Goggins) who moonlights as a professional “psychic”. It seems to work, as on there first visit Gary and Joel get inspired by Bruce channeling on Thomas Edison, and decide to build a mobile microwave that can be strapped to a person’s torso and carried around for quick meals on the go. And even though the school science teacher hates the idea, Gary, Joel, and Bruce begin setting their minds to doing a new project altogether, with Bruce using the science fair as an excuse to show the teacher that magic is real. And in short…he does, because as the great John Farnham writes:
Well don’t you know it’s magic
Ah baby it’s magic
Magic carpet ride for you and me
Meanwhile, Meg’s desperately trying to make friends with Danielle, but it all goes to hell when someone at school writes “firecrotch”(a condition that occurs when a girl’s pussy grows hair on it, making it look red) on her locker. So, for her science fair project, she buys a lie detector test to see if Danielle’s friend Amy is the one behind desecrating her locker. Turns out, Bruce Lindsay knew all along!
Boy, this was a hell of a week for Unsupervised. For whatever reason there were more dick and pussy jokes in this one, which I don’t mind and was friggin’ HYSTERICAL, it just wasn’t all that expected. Wait until you hear Gary’s description of Meg’s snatch, oh dear lord its funny. Also, hearing Russ’ pitch for his science fair project made me really feel for the kid, and the results weren’t much better. Also, Walton Loggins was really, really awesome as Bruce Lindsay, as he executed his character to perfection, and I actually think he could be up for a recurring part as his personality felt right at home with Gary and Joel. I wished to see more of Darius’ creation of the project however, as it looked like we were going to see his character grow a little more but didn’t.

Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
